Top Tips To Remove Scratches From Your LED TV

Be it your 50” LED TV or a smaller 32” one, any form of abrasions or grazes on the television screen is bound to decrease the quality of your viewing experience. Thankfully, light scratches on the screen can be remedied with the right ingredients and little effort. Read on to find out what you can do to restore the pristine condition of your LED screen…

1. Clean the dirt and smudges

Before you begin the process of filling in the scratches, make sure that you clean off the fingerprints, any other smudges along with the dust that might have settled on the LED TV screen. Don’t use any harsh material like paper towels to rid the screen of the dirt; instead, mix one part rubbing alcohol to about twenty parts of pure water to clean. Use a microfiber cloth which is lint free to make sure no tiny fibres stick to the screen, adding to your woes.

2. Using rubbing alcohol

Very gently, rub the light scratches with the microfiber cloth dampened with the alcohol solution. Continue doing so until the scratch is no longer visible. If the scratch does not clear, you may strengthen the solution by adding another part of rubbing alcohol. However, do not let the ratio get skewed or the high amount of alcohol may end up damaging the screen further.

3. Petroleum Jelly

A temporary fix is dabbing a cotton swab with a small amount of petroleum jelly on the scratches. Gently, remove the excess with a microfiber cloth.

4. Erase the scratch out

The small yet mighty eraser can do the trick just as well. Use a brand new white artist’s eraser and gently rub over the scratches to fill them. Use a microfiber cloth to remove the excess eraser shavings.

Next time you spot a scratch, do not panic; simply use any of these tips to set right the light scratches on your LED TV screen.
