Five Revolutionary Technologies, To Watch Out For This Year

I am sure most of us must have wondered, how our favorite Cartoon character from Jet Sons float around in the space or how a rocket reaches the moon orbit and start transmitting information on Earth. Well, that far distant imagination is quite evident today and the most of it now is a time tested reality.

From smartphones, to robots working as servants, the future of technology is here and these are definitely fast becoming a part of our daily life.

Let’s have a look at the products that are a clear indication,  that we have started to look beyond the future of technology.

1. Wearable Tech: Apple Watch

Well, this one does not need any introduction. The apple watch is the perfect combination of style and technology. On the inside, the watch is programmed to detect your wrist movements and displays information, the moment you raise your wrist. Its touch panel is highly sensitive and easily differentiates between a touch or a press, hence giving you multiple options. Also, its inbuilt digital crown gives a better zooming experience and help you see images clearly on a small screen. Now receive calls, send text messages, receive email and notifications all on your apple smart watch.

2. Mobiles: Yota Phone-2 (Double Sided)

Launched last year, the Yota Phone-2 is a product of a Russian mobile phone company, it has come up yet again, with this unique phone with two screens. The phone is an upgrade from  Yota Phone-1 and comes with a 2.1 mega pixels front facing and 8 mega pixels  rear camera. It also has a 2 GB RAM for fast processing and data storage of up to 32 GB.

The USP of the product is a 4.5 inch, E-Ink screen at the back. The back screen displays the content in a standard black and white format and is programmed to constantly transmit information from the main screen. Do not worry, if you are running low on battery. With Yota  phone, you can switch the sides and still get notifications, listen to music, send emails, on your phone and extend the usage. Although, the phone is not a huge hit but definitely a product, you surely can’t afford to miss.

3. Cars: Self Driven Car by Google

Also known as the “Google Chauffeur”, google self –driving car was developed to reduce the accidents on the road. The car runs on electricity and does not have any pedals or steering wheel. It works on the same software as that Lexus and Toyota. It is also programmed to avoid any collision with any object or human, hence also considered to be one of the safest cars. The google has already spent an entire year on testing and already invested a huge amount of money in its production. Although, some of the states in the US have already approved it. But, it will still take some more time to be globally accepted.

4. Printing: 3D Printer

Formlabs, is a startup venture by MIT researchers, have come up with a unique printing innovative technology, a 3D printer. The printer uses stereolithography (SLA) technology, commonly used in higher end printer. The SLA technology uses ABS plastic which is in melted form and extruded in thin strips, which is then molded into microscopic layers to get a prototype of the design.

The liquid plastic costs around $150 for a liter. The two major drawbacks of the product  were, the Size of the 3D Material and the finishing of the product which is not very detailed. Although, it’s a great revolutionary product and a big boon for Engineers and Designers.

5. AC: Wifi, AC

Wi-Fi Air conditioner is a revolutionary  product with a futuristic approach. Recently, Videocon an Indian MNC, has recently launched its new range of Wi-Fi Air conditioners. The product looks like a modern day Air Conditioner, but the fact that it can be controlled from anywhere in the world is unique.

By downloading the Videocon Wi-Fi, AC app on the phone, the user can register itself and get linked to the product. By doing so, he can take full control of his AC and simply operate it through his phone, regardless of his location. Also, the app is designed to  manage multiple Air Conditioners at home or workplace. The product definitely looks like a revolutionary technology on board.
